In the event of an accident or emergency, the Accident Department at Bedford Hospital (South Wing) is open day and night.  If you need an ambulance ring 999 and give the operator full details.  If you are uncertain what to do, contact the doctor on call for advice.

Urgent Telephone Advice

The enquiries line 01234 852222 is manned from 8.00am – 12.30pm, and from 2.00pm – 6.30pm.  If you need to speak to a doctor urgently between 12.30pm and 2.00pm please ring on 852222 and a recorded message will tell you how to contact the doctor on call.
